I Don’t know about you but I do know I couldn’t stand the management above me.
So ask yourself do you Love:
- Your Boss?
- Your Income?
- Your Commute?
These answers were very easy for me. My boss was always asking for more and more. My income had been on the decline for the past three years because upper management thinks we were making to much money. That sentence describes how I felt about the first two. As for the commute it turned my 9 hour work day (I include the lunch hour because I am stuck there) into a 10.5 hour work day and that was if there was no traffic jams.
Family!
Being a parent I missed some special moments do to work:
- I missed the sports games and practices from having to be at work!
- I have missed their first day of school!
- School Events
- When I do Get to Go I feel Rushed Rushed because of the Time Limitations
- Their First Words
- First Steps
- Etc.
I had to find a way to be able to be there for my kids. It was depressing to me to see my kids getting older and me not being there for them. I now get to coach their sports events and I so enjoy it and could never have forgave myself if I would have missed that opportunity with them.
Health!
If you had more time would you take better care of your health? That time spent commuting back and for to work could be used to get your health back. I know my health suffered with working my cubicle job. My health is much improved and I feel much better with taking the time to exercise and eat right.
